Sarah German

UoA Masters Student | Dance Movement Therapy

Northland Regional Centre

Sarah is a first-year student at the University of Auckland studying her Masters in Dance Movement Therapy.

Originally from the South Island, Sarah pursued multiple study pathways in Auckland (including performing arts), before moving to Whangarei where she has taught in the Early Childhood sector for the past 8 years. She has extensive experience working with various community groups and in local and international outreach programmes. She is interested in psychology and the developing brain, which has led her to receive training in neurodiversity and trauma-informed practices. She loves utilising the creative arts to empower people to find wholeness through developing a sense of identity and connection.

As a student, Sarah is passionate about expanding her knowledge and expertise in the creative therapies, while working with a broad range of populations and modalities. In her spare time she enjoys being in nature, photography, and singing with her friends.
